Spencer Babs

President

Meet Spencer Babs, the dedicated President of Patriot Roofing! Spencer moved to the Charleston area over ten years ago and immediately fell in love with it. Since then, he has been dedicated to serving the Charleston community, consistently providing quality roofing and construction services that people can trust.

Spencer has been a pillar of the roofing industry for over a decade. He is a devoted husband to Amanda Babs and a loving father to their three beautiful daughters: Harper, Oaklyn, and Blakely. When he is not climbing roofs, Spencer is cheering on his daughters at dance recitals or cheer competitions.

Although Spencer did not serve in the military, his patriotism runs deep with his father and twin brother both serving in the Marine Corps. His commitment to excellence and service is reflected in every project we undertake.

Nicholas Whitfield

President of Operations

Nicholas, a proud Clemson grad, moved to Charleston five years ago. He is happily married to Lauren Whitfield, and they have a beautiful daughter named Miller Kate.

When Nick is not running the production team for Patriot Roofing, you will find him spending quality time with his family at Clemson games or enjoying the outdoors with his two German Shorthaired Pointers, Dixie and Jax.

Nicholas shows great patriotism in his work, inspired by both his grandfathers who served in the United States Air Force.

Stephen Babs

Director of Human Resources 

Stephen Babs, a proud Marine Corps veteran, co-founded Patriot Roofing in 2021 with Spencer Babs and Nick Whitfield. During his military service, he specialized in aviation maintenance on F-18 fighter jets, developing strong discipline, attention to detail, and teamwork skills that he now applies as Director of Human Resources. In this role, Stephen focuses on building a mission-driven culture through hiring, training, and employee development, leveraging his leadership and people-focused problem-solving abilities.

Outside of work, Stephen is an avid traveler who has visited numerous countries across Europe, Southeast Asia, and New Zealand. He enjoys staying active with outdoor adventures and continually seeks new challenges. His calm demeanor and ability to connect with diverse teams make him a trusted advocate for both field crews and office staff at Patriot Roofing.
